The HP Laptop HP Switch offer is designed for the end consumer to benefit them with best buy-back value of their old unit at the time of purchase of a new HP Laptop.

To buy with HP Laptop HP Switch offer, customer need to share some basic information of their old unit and allow HP Partner to generate a keyboard and a hardware log file as well as take some pictures of old unit. These details will be required by HP Partner to generate exchange value of old unit and basis that customer can avail benefit of HP Switch offer and receive an immediate discount of approved exchange value on the new product purchased.

Detail process:

• Customer walks into the HP store, and sales-person to confirm exchange value of their old unit
• HP Partner, collect details of old unit and enter to the HP Switch offer portal for calculating the exact exchange value
  • While uploading details of old unit, HP Partner to ensure that all details are correctly filled-in
  • Keyboard log and Hardware log are taken from old units and uploaded on the portal
  • All requested images are to be taken clearly and correctly uploaded on the portal
• On submission of these details, exchange request shall be evaluated by the backend team, and confirmation will be received within 15 minutes
• HP Partner to share this exchange value to the customer and if customer agree to proceed with exchange of old unit for a brand-new HP Laptop (only select models are available under this offer)
  • HP Partner to enter customer personal details and generate OTP
  • Customer to get an OTP with exchange value of his old Unit
  • Customer share this OTP to the HP Partner, who will further key in to the portal to proceed with exchange transaction
• On submission of OTP, a customers’ consent letter shall get generated by the system, and HP Partner to upload the countersigned copy on the portal.
• HP Partner to do billing of a new unit, and discount approved exchange on invoice copy and collect remaining payment from the customer
• Once transaction is completed, HP Partner to upload copy of sales invoice and scanned image of customer’s signed consent letter on the portal and complete the transaction.

Important Notes:

• On release of exchange value by backend team, a count-down of 24 Hours will start, and HP Partner is requested to complete all processes within 24 Hours from the time of release of exchange value.
• In case HP Partner is unable to meet the timelines, entire process to be followed again.
• In case customer not interested to proceed with the exchange of their old unit, request shall expire automatically after 24 Hours.

Important terms:

• This HP Switch offer ("Offer") is valid until stocks last or till the Offer expires, whichever is earlier.
• HP Laptop are also available without HP Switch offer, and customer wishes to buy eligible unit without benefit of HP Switch offer may go for the same.
• Valid on select HP Partner Stores.
• Applicable on select models of HP Pavilion, Pavilion x360, Pavilion Gaming, Envy, Spectre, Victus and Omen only.
• Not valid on upfront models.
• Partner needs to keep a record of the details of old laptop taken and new laptop sold for audit purposes.
• Unethical indulgences/practices will lead to removal of the partner from the program.
• HP shall not be held responsible for any delay in communication with regard to this offer. Offer can be withdrawn or changed by HP at any point during the term of this program without giving any reason whatsoever.
• To the extent permitted by law, the Customers by availing this offer agree and undertake not to hold HP and/or or any of their group entities or affiliates, their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, vendors, responsible for or liable for, any actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, charges and expenses that the Customer may/might have suffered, sustained or incurred, or claims to suffer, sustain or incur, by way of and/or on account of the present offer.
• Few pointers to be considered by the HP Partner while generating request for HP Switch –
  • Fill Out Details
    • Fill out the old unit details correctly to get exchange value, any mismatch in information provided and actual product details will be liable for devaluation of exchange value.
  • Follow The Guidelines
    • Make sure that the images uploaded are in accordance to the guidelines.
    • If customer agrees to proceed with exchange transaction, HP Partner to ensure that all steps are completed within valid time-frame
  • Exchange Value
    • If you HP Partner doesn’t receive the exchange value within 15 minutes, matter can be escalated to the next level (quoting reference of exchange transaction ID)
  • Reimbursement of exchange value
    • HP Partner to get purchase order from 3rd party HP Switch Partner
    • HP Partner to ensure GST invoice is generated and uploaded on the portal immediately after receipt of purchase order
    • Once GST invoice is generated and uploaded on the portal, HP Partner to get payment transfer to their registered account by HP Switch Partner team within 10 working days
    • In case of any support required during these process HP Partner can write to HP Switch Partner or support team with their specific query
  • Customer’s consent for old unit, HP Partner to take a print out of consent letter and take customer sign on this before doing invoicing of a new unit. A scanned copy of this consent letter needs to be uploaded along with customers’ invoice copy for completion of exchange transaction.
    • By agreeing to avail the benefits under the Offer, customer hereby represent, warrant and covenant that:

Customer is the sole, absolute and lawful owner of the product being returned ("Old Unit") and customer also confirm that the old unit Product was exclusively for personal use, and not for business or commercial use;
By signing on consent letter, customer confirm and accept that the value of the old unit is acceptable to him/her
The old unit along with all accessories, wherever applicable, under the Offer is genuine and is not counterfeit, free from any and all encumbrances, liens, attachments, disputes, legal flaws, exchange or any agreement of sale etc.

• The details of the old unit, including its condition, are as stated at the time of availing the HP Switch offer are true
  • Old unit must be in working condition, and the display / screen of the old unit should be intact, that is without any scratches, cracks, discoloration, spots, lines, dead pixels, or any other damage of any manner.
  • Customer must delete all personal data, sign out from all accounts, and remove any lock code or passwords before signing of consent letter.
  • Payouts will be on hold if any anomaly found in old laptop or any tampering found in old laptops/notebooks.
  • For New Notebooks sold under Switch program – Any misuse of serial number or no timely reporting of serial numbers in CDB/POS – Payouts to be on hold or adjusted against any outstanding payments that is due to partner
  • All HP Program TnC to be applicable for transactions under Switch platform
